OWG Oxted only makes donations to organisations with which one of our members has a trusted contact, and only funds long-term, sustainable projects

We put on regular events and have an annual Christmas Appeal, donating the proceeds to carefully selected projects. In deciding whether to fund a project, we take account of:

• the number of people expected to be reached

• the likely impact on their lives

• the cost (we look for a detailed breakdown)

• the sustainability of the project

• the degree of confidence that the project would be delivered effectively

• affordability; and the extent to which there would be a local contribution (for example, via donated labour)

Our small administrative costs are met from our membership fees.

All the money raised from events is donated to projects.
